Unlike most builders, our journey began as a design firm developing roadmaps for our clients by providing the plans and details for quality construction. We worked with homeowners to completely design their project, provided the plan to reputable contractors, and acted as their advocate through the construction phase.
After a while, we found our clients were repeatedly asking us if we would build their projects for them. We answered that call by partnering with a contractor that was head-and-shoulders above the rest and Synergy Design & Construction, Inc. was formed. This partnership has allowed us to naturally progress from an award-winning and comprehensive design firm to a design-builder with one of Washington, DC's most respected and knowledgeable custom builders.
Starting back in the beginning, we saw homeowners' frustrations.
After working in the design and construction industry dealing with hundreds of homeowners, we began to see a pattern of frustration over the renovation process.
Traditionally, a homeowner decides they'd like to have their home designed or renovated and quickly find themselves in the midst of a confusing bidding and negotiation process. Not only does it take considerable time to meet with so many contractors, but the designs and bids vary greatly.
Homeowners are left wondering if they are comparing apples-to-apples, questioning if the lowest priced contractor has the same level of finish as the more expensive one.
